Things I miss about Nebraska

1.  “Bad Traffic” means 5 minute delay, tops.
2.  Thunderstorms are commonplace and do NOT freak people out.
3.  In most cases, one can walk to wide-openness.
4.  The whole state gets behind its one sports team.
5.  When the light turns green, I can go, not wait for 4 or 5 idiots to turn left because, evidently, being 4th or 5th in line in the left turn lane still counts as “Committed”.
6.  The yellow lights are not extended for the idiots in (5).
7. Every day is a “Fresh Air Day”

    5) Okay, as much as I like Fremont traffic (even though the drivers are either really old and slow or young and reckless–it is a short drive) and am not looking forward to driving in Lincoln, I sometimes miss driving in Vegas–if only because I am used to 5/64) Ha yes! My aunt and I are going to a scrapbooking night in Omaha and we’re supposed to dress in our favorite teams’ colors for a “tailgating party” theme–pretty sure EVERYONE will be wearing red!

Well, we’re hoping next summer. Ben had his dental school interview last friday–he thought it went really well, and since he was an alternate last year, there is a great chance for this next fall. However, the school cannot release the class list until Dec. 1st at the earliest, so we have to wait to know til then for absolute sure.I will have to find a job and we will have to find housing–and we will want to hold onto our jobs in fremont for awhile, because Ben won’t be working in Omaha and we’ll need two incomes for as long as we can have them.
